Life of the Church

For it is in the liturgy, especially in the divine sacrifice of the Eucharist, that "the work of our redemption is accomplished," and it is through the liturgy especially that the faithful are enabled to express in their lives and manifest to others the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the true Church. What We Must Do

"The sacred liturgy does not exhaust the entire activity of the Church":10 it must be preceded by evangelization, faith, and conversion. It can then produce its fruits in the lives of the faithful: new life in the Spirit, involvement in the mission of the Church, and service to her unity.

Prayer: God's Gift

... Only when we humbly acknowledge that "we do not know how to pray as we ought," are we ready to receive freely the gift of prayer. "Man is a beggar before God." CCC 2559

With the coming of the Saviour Jesus Christ, God has willed that the Church founded by him be the instrument for the salvation of all humanity (Dominus Jesus;cf. Acts 17:30-31).

Third Orders

Third Orders are the secular branches of religous orders. Members live the charisms of the order in the marketplace. This site was designed and is managed by Third Order Dominicans. While we welcome contributions from all, material from members of secular orders are especially invited to contribute.
